Pocket Log Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 6, 2026
Pocket Log is designed for personal notes and shared logbooks. This policy explains what information is used to run the app and provide sync, sharing, reminders, subscriptions, and place-search features.
Information We Collect
- Account information, such as email address, Apple sign-in details, and display name.
- Logbook content you create, including notes, entries, checklists, destinations, and reminders.
- Sharing information, such as invitations, collaborator roles, and Duo/Family seat assignments.
- Subscription and entitlement status used to unlock paid features.
- Device push tokens and notification preferences.
- Approximate usage and diagnostic information needed to operate and protect the service.
Location and Places
If you use Destination List features, Pocket Log may use location or place-search services to suggest nearby places. You can control location permission through your device settings.
How We Use Information
We use information to sign you in, sync logbooks, support shared collaboration, send reminders and notifications, process subscriptions, manage plan seats, deliver invite emails, protect against abuse, troubleshoot issues, and improve reliability.
Service Providers
Pocket Log uses service providers to operate the app, including:
- Firebase for authentication, Firestore database, hosting, Cloud Functions, and backend infrastructure.
- RevenueCat for subscription status, purchase management, and entitlement updates.
- Apple for iOS distribution, Sign in with Apple, in-app purchases, and Apple Maps/place services.
- Expo for push notification delivery.
- Brevo for transactional emails such as plan-seat invitations.
- Cloudflare for domain DNS and email forwarding.
Sharing
Shared logbook content is visible to accepted collaborators according to their role. If you remove a collaborator, they should lose access through the app, but copied or previously viewed information may remain outside Pocket Log.
Payments
Purchases are processed by Apple. Pocket Log and RevenueCat receive subscription status and product identifiers needed to unlock features, but not your full payment card details.
Data Retention
We keep information while your account or logbooks are active and as needed to operate the app, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and maintain reliable backups.
Your Choices
You can delete logbooks, remove collaborators, change notification preferences, sign out, and manage subscriptions through Apple account settings. You can request help with account or data questions by contacting us.
Children
Pocket Log is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us so we can review the request.
